Our Team

Jahnvi is a second-year student in the Adult Clinical Psychology Psy.D. Program at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. She received her B.Sc with Honors and High Distinction in Human Development, with minors in Psychology and Gerontology from Cornell University.

In her early teens, Jahnvi volunteered at 'Senses', a residential and daycare center for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in her hometown. During this time, she learned that each developmental challenge was unique and required different teaching and engagement approaches, which sparked her curiosity about potential therapeutic treatments and interventions. To further explore these interests as an undergraduate, Jahnvi worked with elementary school children who were struggling with academic and social difficulties using various techniques of play therapy. She also conducted research within the Cornell Play and Learning Laboratory for four years, where she assisted on a variety of studies examining spatial skills and play in young children. Additionally, Jahnvi developed and executed her own thesis, investigating a novel mental rotation task to assess spatial skills in toddlers and preschool-aged children. 

Upon graduation, Jahnvi has continued to pursue clinical psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where she is currently being trained. Her clinical interests include the treatment and prevention of anxiety and depression, as well as providing support for children and adolescents with learning disabilities and developmental disorders through psychotherapy and cognitive and academic remediation.

Elizbeth (Liz) Capobianco is an Advanced Standing doctorate candidate in School Psychology at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University, where she took on various research projects under a Research Apprenticeship, which included: the achievement gap, childhood development, and teacher mental health, specifically in Head Start programs. Thereafter, Liz received a Master’s in School Psychology and Masters in Preschool Child Psychology at Fordham University in May 2022.

Upon graduation, Liz obtained a National Certification of School Psychology and is licensed as a School Psychologist in New York State. In 2022, Liz continued to cultivate her expertise and knowledge in psychology and research and is now a doctorate candidate in School Psychology. At Fordham University she is currently pursuing a Research Apprenticeship, which explores play therapy, in particular grandparent and parent interaction with their children. Apart from school, Liz works as a  psychoeducational evaluator and executive functioning tutor. Additionally, Liz founded a Pilates program for students with ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, where she utilizes mindfulness, mind muscle connection and multisensory movement to these individuals, recognizing the important connection between physical, mental and emotional health. Liz aims to create a warm and fun environment for clients and to create a positive experience in her work and practice!
